Version 1.11

November 2026

AutoMEP Version 1.11 adds a time saved report, search that finds what was said in your chats, free DWG and Revit checkers, and NEC receptacle spacing.

What changed

  • Time saved report: open Time saved in a project's top bar, or beside the project name in Guided, for a rough idea in words of how much drafting its delivered requests saved you, with each request listed. Print it or save it as a PDF to share with your team or a client.
  • Search your chats: the search boxes in the sidebar and above the project list now find anything said in a project's chat, not just its name, and show the matching line under the project.
  • A date and time on every request: each request in a project's chat shows when you sent it, in Guided and Expert.
  • Free file checkers: the DWG layer checker reads a drawing's layers and checks them against the NCS format or your own office template, and the Revit version checker tells you which Revit release saved a model. Both read the file in your browser, so it's never uploaded.
  • Receptacles spaced to NEC 210.52: on a project that uses the NEC, no point along a wall of a living space is more than 6 feet from a receptacle, kitchen counters, islands and peninsulas get their own receptacles on two small-appliance circuits, each bathroom basin gets one within 3 feet, and kitchen, dining, bathroom, laundry and garage receptacles go on 20 amp circuits of their own, marked GFI.
  • Upgrade where you ran out: when a request can't start because your usage has run out, a trial can start its paid plan right there, and Starter or Pro can move up a plan, then send the request again. If the card is declined, nothing changes and AutoMEP asks you to update it and try again.
  • PDFs from drawings without sheets: the first page shows the whole drawing, and when it holds separate areas, like floor plans laid out side by side, each one follows on its own page, enlarged so you can read it.
  • Resize Revit ducts and pipes: asking to change the size of an existing duct or pipe, like a drain from 3 inch to 4 inch, now changes it, and pipes keep to standard sizes. On a level with no ceiling, AutoMEP picks air terminals that don't need one.
  • Areas marked out of scope: when your drawing labels an area NOT IN CONTRACT, HORS LOT or something similar, AutoMEP keeps new work out of it.
  • Cable trays through the rooms: ask for cable trays across a floor and they run through the rooms, clear of any area marked out of scope.
  • Smoke detectors skip wet rooms: bathrooms and other wet rooms are left out, and the job note counts the detectors that were drawn.
  • Readable tables: schedules, legends and other tables size their cells to the text, so a column never prints one letter per line.
  • Steadier uploads: an upload that hits a dropped connection retries on its own, and a drawing preview held up by a network blip keeps retrying until it's ready.
  • Revit files that can't run say why: a file with no Revit model in it, such as an empty or half-copied file, says so on its card, and models older than Revit 2019 now show the release that saved them.
  • Already signed in? Dropping a drawing on the home page now opens your dashboard's Guided chat with the file.
  • Extra jobs on your statement: Extra jobs charges now show as AUTOMEP-OVERAGE on your card statement.
  • Easier to read: stronger contrast, underlined links in help and the Terms, and a refreshed look with new icons and lettering.
  • New pages: real before-and-after examples, a security page for vendor reviews, and comparisons with outsourced drafting and the AutoCAD MEP toolset.
