Version 1.4
August 2026
AutoMEP Version 1.4 improves how Revit files are matched to the right Revit release, lets the planner search your drawing for the parts you name, and stops charging for jobs that make no changes.
What changed
- Revit release matching: AutoMEP now reads the Revit release from inside your file and runs your job in that same release, so your model comes back in the same release you sent rather than being upgraded.
- Revit 2025 notice: AutoMEP no longer runs Revit 2025 models. AutoMEP supports Revit 2024 and Revit 2026 while we add the newest release. A 2025 job is declined up front and never uses your usage.
- Find what you name: The planner can now search your drawing for the items you describe, so requests like "delete the existing ductwork" work without you selecting anything first. Previously it could only act on text and room boundaries.
- No charge when nothing changes: If a job finishes without applying any changes, it is no longer counted against your usage. You still keep the file and the explanation of what happened.
- Matching your drawing's style: New work now follows the layer naming, text sizing and new/existing conventions already used in the drawing you uploaded, instead of a generic house style. Since Version 1.8, new layers come from your own CAD standard when you upload one, and AIA/NCS names otherwise, while new text still matches the size of your drawing's own lettering.
- Large drawing handling: Very large drawings are now checked before a job starts and declined clearly if they are too big to process, rather than failing partway through.
