Can AutoMEP fill in or shade symbols already on my drawing?

Yes. Say which symbols and what sets them apart, for example "fill in the center of every plain duplex receptacle, so it reads as mounted at counter height".

It fills your own symbol where it sits. AutoMEP reads each symbol's shape from your drawing and fills its circle, or its largest closed shape if it has no circle, on every copy of it, however each one is turned or scaled. The block itself stays as it was, so anything that counts or schedules that symbol still finds it.

You can narrow it down to the symbols on one layer, or to one kind of symbol, such as plain receptacles rather than the GFCI ones. If the symbol already draws its own fill, AutoMEP won't stack a second one: it stops and tells you, and that request isn't charged. You can also ask for a note saying what the fill means. A long note wraps to fit the space it's in.
