Does AutoMEP use standard layer names?
Yes. AutoMEP automatically uses AIA/NCS National CAD Standard layer names:
M-DUCT-SUPP for supply ductwork, M-DUCT-RETR for return, E-POWR-CIRC for electrical conduit, P-SANR-PIPE for sanitary drain, and so on. You do not need to specify layer names in your requests. If your project uses your office's own CAD standard, new work goes on your standard's layers instead, and these names are used only where your standard has no layer for that kind of work.More in MEP Operations
