Can AutoMEP draw supply and return ductwork?

Yes, both, in one request. Ask for the rooms you want served and the airflow you are designing to, for example "add supply and return ductwork serving the Kitchen, Dining and Living rooms, sized for 800 CFM supply and 800 CFM return".

What you get back: a supply main and a return main, diffusers and return grilles placed in the rooms you named, an air handler if the layout needs one, and every run labeled with its size and its airflow.

On the right layers: supply goes on M-DUCT-SUPP, return on M-DUCT-RETR, equipment on M-HVAC-EQPM and the tags on their own annotation layer, without you asking. If your project uses your own CAD standard, your standard's layers are used instead.

Sizes come from a table, not a guess. Give it the load rather than the size and it picks the duct from SMACNA or from EN 1505 and EN 1506, following the codes your project lists (or your drawing's units when it lists neither), and the finished job names the table it used. More on sizing.
