Can AutoMEP run hot and cold water piping?

Yes. Name the fixtures you want served and AutoMEP runs the mains, takes branches off to each fixture, and labels every run with its size.

Around the walls, not through them: each run is routed through door openings and around fixtures, the same way ducts are, and hot and cold are drawn as two separate lines side by side.

On the right layers: cold water on P-DOMW-CPIP, hot water on P-DOMW-HPIP, sanitary drainage on P-SANR-PIPE, so hot, cold and drainage can be turned on and off separately. If your project uses your own CAD standard, your standard's layers are used instead.

It can size the pipe for you from the fixtures on the run, using the International Plumbing Code and the pipe series for the material, or you can state the size yourself and it will draw what you asked for. Sanitary drainage is sized by fixture units and gradient, and it can add invert and slope annotations to a drain run.

As with duct sizing, the finished job tells you which table the size came from, so a number you are asked to justify is a number you can trace.
