Why didn't my request start?
If you pressed Submit and nothing happens, the Submit button seems to do nothing, or your request or job won't start and no job appears, AutoMEP turned the request down before it started and says why on the page. Nothing from your plan is used when that happens.
Out of usage, or not enough left this month: Every request draws on your plan's monthly usage, and a request can't start when there isn't enough left for it. A Revit model uses more of your plan than an AutoCAD drawing does, so a Revit request can be refused while an AutoCAD drawing would still run. How does usage work? explains how usage is counted.
On a free trial: the Start my plan now button asks you to confirm, then ends your trial today and starts your paid plan on the card you already gave us. You get that plan's full monthly usage at once, so your request can run right after. If the card is declined, nothing changes and your trial carries on: update your payment method, then press Try again.
On the Starter or Pro plan: the Upgrade my plan button lets you pick a bigger plan right there, then asks you to confirm. You're charged the difference for the rest of this billing month, your billing date stays the same, and you keep the usage you have left with the difference between the two plans on top, so you can send the request again straight away. If the card is declined, your plan doesn't change: update your payment method, then press Try again. Team is the biggest plan, so on Team the screen takes you to Settings instead. On any paid plan you can also turn on Extra jobs in Settings, which What happens when I reach my limit? covers. If Extra jobs is on and you've reached its limit for this billing period, new jobs wait until your plan renews.
Your trial has ended: requests pause when there's no active plan. Choose a plan to keep editing drawings.
Your Revit model needs an upgrade: AutoMEP can't run Revit 2025, so a 2025 model has to be upgraded to Revit 2026 first, and AutoMEP asks before it does that. Agree to the upgrade, then submit again. If AutoMEP can't tell which Revit release saved the model, or the release is too old to open, save the model again from a newer Revit and upload that copy. If the file has no Revit model in it at all, such as an empty or half-copied file, the upload says so: open the project in Revit, save it, and upload the saved copy. Does AutoMEP support Revit files? lists the releases.
Linked drawings are missing: if your drawing links to other drawings that aren't in the project yet, AutoMEP asks before running. Add them on the drawing card, or choose Run without them. See Part of my drawing is missing.
The drawing is still uploading: wait for the upload to finish, then send the request again.
AutoMEP can't open the drawing: the file is probably damaged. Repair it in AutoCAD with RECOVER and then AUDIT, save it and upload the saved copy. My project page says AutoCAD can't open my drawing has the steps.
Several drawings at once: a request sent to several drawings runs on all of them or none. If one isn't ready, or your plan can't cover every drawing you picked, nothing is sent and AutoMEP names the drawing that stopped it. Pick fewer drawings, or upgrade. See Can one request change several drawings at once?
The preview says it's still preparing: a short drop in the connection can hold up the drawing preview. AutoMEP keeps retrying on its own, so check back a little later. If the preview can't be prepared, the drawing's card says so.
