Does AutoMEP support Revit files?
Yes. AutoMEP supports Revit 2024, Revit 2026 and Revit 2027 (.rvt) files. Upload your Revit model the same way as a DWG file and describe the changes you need. AutoMEP reads the Revit release from the file itself and makes your edits in that same release, so your model comes back in the Revit release you sent. The release it read shows next to the file in your project as soon as the upload finishes.
Revit 2025 models: AutoMEP can no longer run Revit 2025, so a 2025 model can only be worked on by upgrading it to Revit 2026. Revit cannot open a newer file in an older release, so AutoMEP asks you first and only upgrades if you say yes. If you would rather not upgrade, nothing happens to your file and no usage is spent.
Supported Revit operations:
When your job completes you can download the modified Revit model (.rvt), an exported DWG of your changes and a plotted PDF, and you can preview both your upload and your result in the browser without opening Revit.

Supported Revit operations:
- HVAC: place supply and return air ducts, insert air terminals (diffusers, grilles), add mechanical equipment
- Plumbing: add pipe runs, insert plumbing fixtures (sinks, floor drains, toilets), connect to existing systems
- Electrical: place electrical equipment, insert lighting fixtures, create circuits connected to panels
- Components your model does not have: AutoMEP loads the family it needs, then places the device or the in-line accessory, such as a control damper or a control valve
- Sizes: change the size of an existing duct or pipe, such as a drain from 3 inch to 4 inch; pipes keep to standard sizes
- Tags: tag ducts, pipes, air terminals and equipment, loading a tag family first if your model has none of that category
- Sheets: create a sheet and place a view on it. If that view is already on another sheet, AutoMEP places a copy, so the original sheet keeps its view
